Department of Christian Social Work
Welcome to the Department of Christian Social Work (Czech abbr: KKS) of the Sts Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology!
KKS in co-operation with CARITAS – College of Social Work Studies in Olomouc www.caritas-vos.cz realizes two bachelor study programmes:
- Charity and social work in full-time and combined form
- International Social and Humanitarian Work in full-time form, this field of study is unique in Central Europe
and one master’s (magister) study program:
Charity and social work (in three specializations)
a) Management in social services
b) Social work with families
c) International humanitarian and community social work
The study of current and prospective programs is opened to all applicants interested in high quality and demanding professional training uniting elements of scientific reflection, practical training and enhancement of cultural-religious sensitivity in a balanced way. Although the study takes place at the Catholic faculty of theology, it is opened to everyone regardless of his/her faith.
The KKS is a member of the Thematic Network on Humanitarian Development Studies and the International Humanitarian Studies Association, IHSA. CARITAS-VOŠ, the partner authorized to provide bachelor studies is a regular member of the Association of Educators in Social Work.
